Scattering Characteristics of an Electrically-Large Aircraft Object Illuminated by Bessel Vortex Beams

Based on the excellent and broad prospect of vortex beams in military application, it is necessary to evaluate scattering characteristics classical Bessel beam upon a perfect electrical conductor (PEC) blunt cone model aircraft structure. First, expanded by series plane wave spectra. Then, combining physical optics (PO) method, scattered field object fitted facet elements can be calculated. The amplitude, phase, orbital angular momentum (OAM) spectra for different attitudes are discussed detail. results show that backward still retains good OAM characteristics, which distorted with increase oblique angle. Besides, backscattering radar cross section (BRCS) also calculated analyzed, degenerated zero-order compared verify correctness proposed theory. Compared waves, provides new degree freedom, providing more information detection.
